Brad Daugherty:To Play Poker And Write Poker Books
Brad Daugherty was infected with poker frenzy in 1968 by his schoolmates. And after that he used any opportunity to play poker though his first prize was only $3.
But this ig prize didn stop Big man: he began to play poker more than ever.
After graduating High School he worked as a welder or a constructor, but his true calling was poker.
Years passed. Brad perfected himself and his game. He was especially successful in no-limit lowball and no-limit Five-Card Stud.
And then suddenly appeared... guess who? Doyle Brunson! It was in 1977 when he had won at the WSOP for the second time. His example inspired many people and Brad was among them. He began to study No-limit Texas Holdem and to improve his game he went to Reno, Nevada, where poker action was much more bigger than in Payette, Idaho (his hometown).
He laid down an aim and moved heaven and earth to become World Champion of Poker in 1991. His victory was significant for the value of the first prize that was equal $1.000.000 (the sum was so big for the first time).
After that he became a writer. I mean - he found it profitable. Though I can deny that these books are rather interesting and really worth reading.
He himself says that his ambition is to play poker and write poker books. He had already written two very successful books:
Championship Satellite Strategy No-limit Texas HoldEm for Beginners.
Now Brad prefers online-poker to live poker, but sometimes he takes part in big tournaments. To write books about something you should live for that something, how do you think?
